Oz Day 10k 2010 Start (1st row, 2nd from left)

Oz Day 10k 2010 Finish (4th)

The Oz Day 10k is a race that loops around dowtown Sydney on Australia Day.  I felt great this whole race, and broke away from the pack with about a km to go. I get a little caught up before you see me in this final turn to the finish stretch, otherwise I was pretty confident I could have placed 2nd.

1500m @ Sydney Track meet

Best 1500m race yet with a field of guys with Paralympic Medals, Paralympic Records and World Records.

5000m @ Sydney Track meet

After a strong pull early, I got caught up at the back in a near crash.  I had to catch up multiple times in this race to make up distance from guys dropping off the pack.  I did not get too much of a draft this whole 5k and considering so, still finished quite strong.  If I had not gotten caught up and had to make up ground a few times, I think I could have won with the energy saved.
