Talking about the racing chair

Talking about the racing chair

Last wednesday the Rotary Club of Southampton had a dinner in my honour, with about 50 people in attendance, and over $600 in tickets bought from people who couldn’t attend.  I definitely felt honoured!  I did a talk for about 45 minutes, and I had numerous guests add to their donations following the engagement.  In total I received about $3000, and the next day I received a call from Marcel Legault that the Port Elgin rotary added another $1500.. that is a new racing chair taken care of!Thank you everyone who attended or couldn’t and still donated! A special thanks to Bruce and Addison for the organization. The photos are taken by Sandy Lindsay from the Saugeen Times

On the Friday night, the Wismer House held a fundraising event as well.  A special thanks to all who donated, and to Patrick for letting us hold the event there.  Neither of these events would have been possible without the coverage Jesse Grass has given in the Shoreline News, as well as the help behind the scenes in these events as well.
