None of my accomplishments would be possible with out the support of friends, family, fans, and the community. There are two types of support- emotional, and financial- and I am thankful for all I have received in both areas. People have been so supportive, whether it is a pat on the back, a wish for success, or a reach into their wallets. Unfortunately there is a financial cost associated with success, as I need to have the equipment, training resources, and competition experience needed to get to the podium at the Paralympic Games. All of these costs necessary to achieve that sort of success are in the $30 000- $40 000 range per year. By helping me reach these costs, I know that I am doing everything possible to make the ultimate goal come true- bringing home gold for Canada.
