Backing out of Paralympic World Cup

Posted on May 23rd, by Josh Cassidy in wheelchair racing. No Comments

It is with some regret that I have pulled out of Paralympic World Cup in Manchester this week.  It would have been my first time competing in the event, and I was excited to compete in Liverpool on a fast track as well this weekend.  However 3 days before I was to leave for England, the volcanic activity had started again, and I didn’t want to take any chances on getting stuck over there.  There was also some misunderstanding about venues available for training, which added to the inconveniences any delays would cost.  This would also be detriment to other important races coming up soon. However I am not thinking about it too much, I must move forward.  I am happy to be at home in my own training environment, where I am now able to get in much more training and be better prepared for the upcoming series of races next month, which I am very excited about.
